That doesn't look like fun. Unless your name is He-Man.

Also not an uncommon sight in Audi, Mercedes, and... Ford shops too.

When we dropped my dads F-250 off I saw many fords with the cabs lifted off the frame.

I think the tech won't be sad once he gets his pay for this.

oil change?
Haha. Oh, I crack myself up. Seriously though, that is what I feel like it takes do anything on a German car. I'm all in with my mustang, but my last car was a MKV GTI, and I hated everything I had to do on that car. It made me want to never get another German car. I know this is a BMW, so it's "different" but I've worked on my share of Mercedes, bummers, VW, Audi, and Porsches. They all suck in some way. In other ways they were ingenious. I just don't want one of my own any longer. The GTI was so bad that my wife is the one who told me to sell the damn thing.

I'd be sad until I got paid for this.

It was getting the tires rotated.

He probably followed the service minder which suggests an oil change every 18,000 miles, resulting in a blown turbo.

I seriously can't believe that is the interval for an oil service. I do less than 1/3 of that in my Forester.

I can't either! It's insane. I feel bad enough only doing double intervals (every 9000 miles). I really should get an oil analysis done next time.

The tires remain in place, the car is rebuilt in the other direction.
